Matchday 4 is the halfway point of the league phase. The previous round is in our Matchday 3 fixtures and TV guide, and the 2026/27 Europa League guide covers the format and season dates.

Rennes vs Olympiacos moved to Wednesday

The match was originally set for Thursday 5 November at 18:45. UEFA has brought it forward to Wednesday 4 November at 16:30 CET (15:30 UK) because unions have called a general strike in France for 5 November, and French authorities said they could not guarantee safety and security that day.

The afternoon start keeps the game clear of two Champions League matches at 18:45 CET that evening: Fenerbahçe vs Liverpool and AEK Athens vs Real Madrid. At least one fixture site still lists the game on Thursday; go by the Wednesday date.

What to watch for

Five teams have won all three of their games: Benfica, Leverkusen, Bournemouth, Ferencváros and Olympiacos. Olympiacos are first to try to keep that record going, on Wednesday away at Rennes, who are unbeaten in the Europa League so far.

Benfica top the table on 9 points with a competition-high 10 goals and host Lech Poznań. Leverkusen, also on 9 points, are the only side yet to concede, and they meet a Marseille team that has lost all three games.

Milan were beaten 3-0 at Bournemouth last time, with Maignan sent off, and sit 24th, the last play-off place. They host Ferencváros, whose Kristoffer Zachariassen has three goals and an assist. Bournemouth travel to Sparta Praha.

Crystal Palace (4 points) host Hoffenheim (3 points), with Yeremy Pino looking to score in a fourth straight Palace game; he is joint-top scorer. Union SG, who have had seven different scorers in wins over Plzeň and Hapoel Beer-Sheva and a draw with Real Sociedad, go to Celta. Juventus (7 points) visit AZ, and Sunderland (7 points) host GNK Dinamo.

Following Matchday 4 in Stream Master

Stream Master is an IPTV player for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. It does not come with channels: it plays the M3U playlist or Xtream Codes login you already have from your own legal provider. If your provider carries one of the official broadcasters above, these features help on a round with this many games at once.

Set a reminder from the TV guide

The guide comes from your provider and works with Xtream Codes playlists. Plain M3U playlists don’t get one, and you can’t add a separate EPG link. On iPhone and iPad:

  1. Open your Xtream playlist and go to the Live TV category with your sports channels.
  2. Tap the grid button in the toolbar to switch from the list to the TV guide. It shows a 24-hour timeline, scrolled to the current time.
  3. Find the Europa League listing on the channel showing your match.
  4. Tap the bell icon. It only appears on programmes that haven’t started yet, and you’ll see “Reminder Set”.

The notification arrives when the programme starts in your provider’s guide, so if the listing begins with pre-match build-up, that’s when it comes. If notifications are off, the app asks you to turn them on in iOS Settings.

Your reminders are listed under “Upcoming Reminders” on the Home screen on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. The guide and reminders are part of the free version. The EPG guide walkthrough has more detail.

Watch up to four matches at once

Each Thursday slot has eight or nine games running together. Multi-View (Pro) shows up to four streams at the same time, and only one tile plays sound.

iPhone and iPad: tap the Multi-View button (the 2x2 grid icon) in the player, or long-press a channel and choose “Open in Multi-View”. The first time, a “High Data Usage” notice appears. Use “Add Screen” to add tiles, then “Add Channel” on an empty tile to pick a game from a searchable list. Tap a tile to give it the sound; it gets a green border.

Apple TV: choose “Multi-View” on Home or “Open MultiView” from a channel’s page. Moving focus to a tile switches the sound, and clicking a tile offers “Add Screen”, “Remove Screen” and “Change Channel”. The Back/Menu button closes it.

More detail is on the Multi-View page.

Put the match on your TV

With an Apple TV, the Stream Master Apple TV app plays your playlist directly. Up/Down on the Siri Remote moves through the channels in the list you opened the player from.

From iPhone or iPad, Pro adds two ways to send a stream to a TV:

  • AirPlay: tap the AirPlay button in the player to open the system device picker, then choose your Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV.
  • Chromecast: tap the Cast button and pick your Chromecast or Google Cast device. The stream that is playing loads on the TV, and playback continues on the phone. If you switch channel on the phone, the TV stays on the original game until you tap “Play on TV”, so you can check another match without interrupting the big screen. If the TV can’t play a stream, you’ll see “Connection Failed”.

See casting with AirPlay and Chromecast for setup tips.

Watching while you use other apps

The Wednesday game kicks off in the afternoon in the UK and Europe, and the early Thursday slot is lunchtime on the US East Coast. On iPhone and iPad, Picture-in-Picture (free) keeps a match in a small window while you use other apps. It works with streams on Apple’s player, such as HLS, but not with MKV or raw TS streams.

Catch up on a match you missed

Catch-up works when you use an Xtream playlist and your provider archives that channel. On iPhone and iPad, replayable past programmes in the guide grid have a light-green background and a green rewind icon; tap one to play it from the start of the listing, which may include build-up. Programmes outside your provider’s archive window play live instead.

On Apple TV, open “TV Guide” from a Live TV category, select a past programme or long-press a channel to see its archive, and use “Start Over” or “Back to Live” in the player’s options panel.

Download Stream Master on the App Store, add your provider’s playlist, and set your Matchday 4 reminders.
