What to watch for

UEFA’s picks of the night are Juventus vs Rennes, Bournemouth vs Milan, Beşiktaş vs Crystal Palace and Celtic vs Celta.

Juventus top the table with two wins and seven goals, including a 2-1 win at Celta last time out. They arrive after a 3-0 home defeat to Lazio in Serie A, though. Franck Haise’s Rennes have lost only once all season and have 4 points.

In the late slot, Milan’s Alphadjo Cisse comes to Bournemouth after his hat-trick at Salzburg. At 19 years and 358 days, he became the youngest Italian to score a hat-trick in UEFA men’s club competition. He shares the scoring lead on three goals with Ferencváros’s Kristoffer Zachariassen.

Sunderland have won both their games so far, 1-0 against AZ and 2-1 away at Torreense. They now visit Lech Poznań, who are bottom of the 36-team table with no points and a goal difference of -8 after 4-0 defeats to Crystal Palace and at home to Leverkusen.

Following several matches in the same slot

The two slots don’t overlap. The early games finish before the late games start, so you can watch one match from each slot. The real clash is within a slot: eight games start together at 18:45 CEST and ten at 21:00 CEST.

If your own IPTV subscription carries the channels showing these games, Stream Master can help. It plays the M3U playlist or Xtream Codes login you already have from your provider. It does not include channels or sell subscriptions, so what you can watch depends entirely on your provider.

Multi-View on iPhone and iPad (Pro)

  1. Open a channel showing one of the matches.
  2. Tap the Multi-View button (the 2x2 grid icon) in the player’s right-hand button stack. You can also long-press a channel in a list and choose “Open in Multi-View”. The first time, a “High Data Usage” notice appears.
  3. Tap “Add Screen”, then “Add Channel” on the empty tile. This opens the “Select Channel” sheet, where you can search the Live TV tab.
  4. Repeat until you have up to 4 tiles. Two tiles sit side by side, and three or four fill a 2x2 grid.
  5. Only one tile plays sound. Tap a tile to give it the audio, and a green border shows which one it is. Tap the X on a tile to remove it, or “Close Multi-View” to finish.

More detail is on the Multi-View feature page.

Multi-View on Apple TV (no Pro needed)

On Apple TV, open a channel’s detail and choose “Open MultiView”. Moving focus to a tile switches the sound to it. Long-press for “Add Screen”, “Remove Screen” or “Change Channel”. Press Back/Menu to close it.

Set a reminder for kick-off

If you use an Xtream Codes playlist, open a Live TV category and tap the grid button in the toolbar to see the TV guide. Find the channel carrying your match and tap the bell on the programme. The bell only appears on programmes that haven’t started, so set it before kick-off. The notification fires at the programme’s start time as listed in your provider’s guide, not earlier. This also only works if the guide actually lists the match. If notifications are off, the app asks you to enable them in Settings on iPhone and iPad.

Plain M3U playlists don’t come with a guide, so reminders aren’t available for them. The Smart EPG page explains the guide in full.

Catch up on a match you missed

On iPhone and iPad with an Xtream playlist, the same guide grid shows past programmes that can be replayed. These have a light-green background and a green rewind icon. Tap one to watch it from the start. This only works on channels your provider archives. A programme outside the archive window simply plays the channel live. Catch-up is not available on Apple TV.
